Manolo Soto joins María de Medeiros, the grande dame of Portuguese cinema. This story by Avelina Prat about borrowed identities and the search for our place in the world, in which the two Iberian countries play a leading role, opens this new edition of Festibérico.
A pianist boy gifted with great talent and delicacy who grows up isolated in post-revolutionary Portugal. This film adaptation of the award-winning novel "O Teu Rosto Será o Último" by João Ricardo Pedro, published in the Netherlands as Jouw gezicht zal het laatste zijn, promises to move audiences.
Mar Cambrollé is coming to Festibérico to present Te estoy amando locamente and dialogue with the audience after its screening. Mar was a pioneer in the LGTBI movement in Andalusia in the 1970s, as portrayed in the film, and has since become a renowned activist for trans rights in Spain.

Saturday, 27 September will focus on Spain's transition to democracy with Te estoy amando locamente, a film about the LGBTI movement in the early years of democracy, and El 47, which reflects on the citizen movements during those years. Saturday, 27 September will focus on Spain's transition to democracy with

On Friday 3 October, we focus on the Portuguese Carnation Revolution with the screening of
Revolução (sem) sangue
and the participation of its director, Rui Pedro Sousa. [-]
Nuno Beato is the director of Os demónios do meu avô, a stop-motion film with 2D animation. In an ever-faster world, our proposal is to stop, watch, talk, and rediscover animated cinema through this fantastic film.
An intimate and universal fable, made for all ages and generations, about the fantasies we inherit – and the courage to face them. This Iberian co-production envelops us in a poetic world inspired by the clay figures of ceramicist Rosa Ramalho.
Featuring Portuguese guitar and bandoneon, the performances of Duo JJ create a captivating and welcoming atmosphere, serving as an interlude between the animated feature Os demónios do meu avô and the screening of Los Tortuga.
